Wardlow Potentially Injured During AEW Rampage: Grand Slam Taping

Wardlow is definitely one of the more popular house stars in AEW at the present time. With him being the current TNT champion and regularly on dynamite, it is likely that he will one day be world champion. Sadly, he must have suffered an injury during the Rampage Grand Slam.

Promotion taped the episode after the Dynamite event at Arthur Ashe Stadium from New York City on Wednesday night.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Wardlow appeared to be injured during the AEW Rampage Grand Slam, possibly with a leg injury. The good news is that he was able to make it through the angle.

“Wardlow may have…did you hear anything about Wardlow being hurt? Wardlow appeared to be hurt. I don’t know how serious. He appeared to have a leg injury, but he did come back.”

We'll have to wait to see how AEW books Wardlow in the coming months. Hopefully he doesn't suffer any major injuries and will be able to compete at a higher level.
