WWE recently filed a trademark application related to NXT.
On March 20th, 2023, the company submitted a request with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to secure the rights to the term "NXT Battleground."

During the 2010s, WWE used the name Battleground as a pay-per-view title for a short period of time. It's worth noting that NXT has previously repurposed former WWE pay-per-view titles, such as Roadblock.
