The first-ever Pitch Black match in the history of WWE takes place at this year's Royal Rumble event which goes live on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
This will also notably be Wyatt's first televised match since WrestleMania 37 in April 2021. All the clarity behind the Pitch Black match is in obscurity. During an appearance on the WWE After The Bell podcast on January 4, 2023, Knight said the only thing he knew about the match was that it would essentially be a street fight "kind of in the dark".
Royal Rumble will stream live at 8 pm ET exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

LA Knight is the first to make the entrance. Bray Wyatt is up next with his long entrance. The glowing paint on Bray looks awesome. Lots of Lots neon in the match.
Bray grabs Knight by the throat and lands an Overhead Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Well, that was awesome, Now both are fighting outside of the ring. Bray sends Knight into the ringside barrier. Bray is sent into the ring post and Knight brings up the ring steps to set them next to the announce table.
Bray attacks and sends Knight over the ringside barrier. Bray goes for a Suplex onto the table, but Knight saves and drops Bray on the ringsdie barrier. Both are on the ringside barrier and sends Bray through the table with a Flying Side effect.
Bray sends Knight through the ropes to the floor. Knight gets a kendo stick and hits Bray with it.
Bray hits Sister Abigail for the three count.
