WWE NXT Results September 16, 2020: Live Update, Highlights, Winners, Matches

Coming up this week, WWE has put up a massive lineup once again. North American Champion Damian Priest will be defending his title against no other than Timothy Thatcher.

In another Title match, NXT Tag-Team Champions Fandango & Tyler Breeze of Bresango will put their title on the line against The former NXT Tag-Team champions Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel of Imperium.

This Wednesday we will also witness a massive no-title match between The NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai and Shotzi Blackheart. Tonight they both teamed up against Aliyah and then they both confronted in the ring.

Drake Maverick & Killian Dain Vs. Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong to happen. Finn Balor will address.


Io Shirai Vs. Shotzi Blackheart[No-Title Match]

We kicked the things off with Shotzi Blackheart walking down to the ring, she was followed by the champion Io Shirai. The bell rang as Io showed up some great athletism. Shotzi Blackheart was rounding Io looking for the submission.

Shotzi Blackheart with an armlock, Io was so close to the bottom rope and she did break the submission. Shotzi Blackheart was punched to Io and ran to charge Io with another move, but this Io would duck as Shotzi Blackheart went flying out of the ring.

Io followed the Dive from the top rope to take her down. Io took her back to the ring and rand some rough shots. Back from the break as they continued to make the brawl up. Shotzi Blackheart was shocking the fans continuing to land puces to Io into the Conor.

Io with Superkick but didn't connect to Shotzi Blackheart. Io once again with Armlock, Shotzi Blackheart was able to break the hold touching the bottom rope, Shotzi Blackheart with Superkick, and threw herself on Io with a hip attack, A phenomenal Suplex from Shotzi Blackheart. Once again Shotzi Blackheart with an unbelievable Sumbsmion move, but Io was able to break it.

Io with Superkick this time and went up to the top rope and landed a Dropkick for the cover, but kicked out at two. Io once up to the top rope, she was followed by Shotzi Blackheart. Io was taken with a Suplex from Shotzi Blackheart, covered but kicked out at two.

Shotzi Blackheart up to the top rope, Io Shirai as well as followed her. They both were down the apron where Io had German Suplex, Io into the ring with cover, but Shotzi Blackheart kicked out at two. Io Shirai with ruthless knee Strick into the Conor and went up for the Moonslaut for the cover to win the match.

Winner: Io Shirai, victory followed by pinfall

Tommaso Ciamp Vs. Desmond [Singles Match]

Tommaso Ciampa didn't take a long time to snatch the victory. After the match, Ciampa brought the chair from outside and sat down into the middle of the ring. He was interrupted by Jake Atlas who promised to get Payback from Tommaso Ciampa.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa, victory followed by pinfall

Kushida Vs. Austin Theory

After the match Austin Theory followed the ring, he took the mic and laid down the challenge to anyone from the NXT locker room. The Challenge accepted as Kushida returned to NXT after his injury reports.

Kushida out in the ring with a Dropkick before we could wait to hear the bell, Austin back with a big Closeline. They went back and forth next up. Kushida took Austin out of the ring and ran rough shots, Austin went for below attack, but Kushida ducked as Austin hit his left hand to ring post, Kushida took the advantage and brought him back to the ring, Kushida with Armlock to let Austin tap out.

Winner: Kushida, victory followed by pinfall

--After the match, Kushida raised his hands as to celebrate the victory

Brezango Vs. Imperium [NXT Tag-Team Championship Match]

Brezango followed up the ring as for the first, Imperium ran towards the ring took an early fight with Brezango before the bell. Fabian Aichner and Fandango took the fight, Fabian Aichner was flogging Fandango in the match, Fabian Aichner with a tag to Marcel Barthel, he with trash trash-talking and then with a Doublehook Suplex for the cover, but kicked out at two.

They were constantly making the tag, Fabian Aichner into the ring, Fandango had a punch back to Fabian Aichner and looked for the tag, but Fabian Aichner didn't let this happen as he once again took him back into the corner.

Back from the break, as Fabian Aichner with a beautiful Suplex for the cover, but kicked out at two. All the superstars were out of the ring. Fandango with Superkick to Imperium and took Fabin back into the ring, Marcel Barthel out of nowhere making some damages on Fandango, Fabin meanwhile with German Suplex for the cover, but kicked out at two.

Finally, Tyler Brez rolled up imperium completing three counts and thus retained the title.

Winner: Brezango, victory followed by pinfall

Xia Li and Jessi Kamea vs. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro

Winners: Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro, victory followed by pinfall

--After the match, we cut the promo from Tegan Nox who had some words fro Candice ahead of Battle Royal.

Drake Maverick & Killian Dain Vs. Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong

Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong walked down to the ring, Drake Maverick was up next, he waited for Kallian Dain at the top of the ramp but didn't see him coming. Thus, Drake went two on one.

Killian Dain was backstage watching the match. Meanwhile, Bobby Fish with a Massive Backbreaker as went for the commercial break. Back from the break, as NXT General Manager William Regar reached to Killian Dain suggesting to go and support Drake. Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong sent Drake flying off the top rope. Drake was helpless out of the ring. Finally, Killian Dain appeared on the ramp.

Killian Dain grabbed Drake Maverick and sent him back into the ring. and marched back. Undisputed Era said something which enraged Killian Dain to get back in the match. Killian Dain back running rough shots on Undisputed Era. During the match, Undisputed Ear used a chair shot on Killian Dain which disqualified them from the match as Drake Maverick & Killian Dain remaining the victorious.

Winners: Drake Maverick & Killian Dain, victory followed by DQ

Damian Priest(c) Vs. Timothy Thatcher [NXT North American Championship Match]

The main event was on the line between Damian Priest(c) Vs. Timothy Thatcher for the NXT North American championship. Timothy Thatcher with an Uppercut to take out Priest. Timothy Thatcher followed him. Priest answered back with a kick another for increased his to shake feeling into his right arm without braces.

It was from Timothy Thatcher with an answer that's what it is steel steps and the Challenger following up with a double under hook suplex. Timothy closing in on becoming these boots and exceed North American champion that's against the best of the champion is driving his chin into the history of the area cranking up the neck trying to ease the pressure with the knee in shoulders down yet again, and really a double whammy here wait for not only a submission but also pretty combination.

Pick out Damian Priest three smooth an expert in it was Timothy Thatcher had said you don't leave your feet. You didn't believe that freestyle. The only style is to grind your opponent down to the mat matches done just that but Priest was firing back shots to the body Champion. Priest laid it all out all priests got caught. What a slap across the face, but the slap.
