WWE has announced that the opening match of night one at WrestleMania 39 will feature John Cena taking on Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship.
Cena has headlined five WrestleMania events in the past. He previously opened WrestleMania 20 against the Big Show and won the WWE United States Championship. Meanwhile, this will be Theory's third WrestleMania match and his first title defense at the event.
WrestleMania 39's night two will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event.
