WWE hosted one of its live events this weekend, titled "Saturday Nights Main Event," one of its classic events. But the biggest news coming out of the show isn't around the winners or losers last night.
One of the top matches advertised last night was the Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins face-off for fans in Champagne, Illinois. But just before the match began, it was announced that Cody Rhodes was "injured" and that Drew McIntyre would replace him in the match. Drew would go on to defeat Rollins, and despite the "injury" he claimed Cody had, he still ran into a post-match chase with Seth Rollins.
After WWE dropped the news the night before their "Hell in a Cell" premium live event, where Cody is scheduled to the main event in a Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins, it naturally led to this question.
As of writing, there is no official announcement on if there Will Cody be able to compete tonight, or is it something less serious that WWE possibly wanted to rest him so he's ready for Sunday?
Whatever the case may be, we will keep you updated on the severity of Cody’s “injury” and his role at HIAC.
