Mustafa Ali was announced for the Smackdown World Cup, but not so fast on him becoming a full time roster member for now.
Mustafa Ali, who is featured on Raw in a United States Title program with Seth Rollins, was revealed as a Smackdown World Cup participant. Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Butch, Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, Santos Escobar, Braun Strowman -- all Smackdown stars -- were also announced. This led many to think that Mustafa Ali had been moved over to the brand.
According to Fightful Select, At this moment, Mustafa Ali is still a member of the Raw roster, and is supposed to work both Raw and Smackdown during the tourney. A reason as to why Ali was brought in as opposed to using a Smackdown talent wasn't given.
