As previously mentioned, The Elite mocked CM Punk on Wednesday at Dynamite in Chicago, referencing his backstage brawl with the former AEW World Champion.
There was a different atmosphere last night on AEW Dynamite in Chicago. There was a mixer of reactions when The Elite came out to the ring tonight for their Best of 7 series match against Death Triangle.
Omega received a huge backlash after hitting Pac with the GTS, a move referencing CM Punk. Matt Jackson also joked about how Punk fell on Double or Nothing while trying for the Buckshot Lariat. The match ended with Penta el Zero Mido pinning Matt Jackson.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com issued the following update in regards to CM Punk being mocked by The Elite in Chicago.
“I know that there’s people close to CM Punk that were… boy were they not happy with that six-man tag match.”
