UFC is finalizing a middleweight fight between Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland for Aug. 7 at a location TBD.
Hall and Strickland are ranked 8 and 12 by the UFC, respectively. The report was first broke by
ESPN's Brett Okamoto that UFC is planning to have Uriah Hall Vs. Sean Strickland for the August 7 event.
Uriah Hall last fought off against Chris Weidman at UFC 261. The fight saw one of the peculiar endings in UFC history. Weidman threw a heavy outside low kick which Hall checked with his left knee. This check snapped Weidman's left fibula and tibia on contact.
Weidman immediately fell to the mat, forcing referee Herb Dean to stop the fight and declare Hall the winner via technical knockout.
While in his last fight Strickland faced Krzysztof Jotko on May 1, 2021 at UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs. Procházka. He won the bout via unanimous decision.
