UFC 270 Results: Brandon Moreno Vs. Deiveson Figueiredo Full Fight & Winner

Newly crowned UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno runs it back with former titleholder Deiveson Figueiredo in the co-main event.

The pairing first met at UFC 256 on December 12, 2020, which ended in a majority draw (Figueiredo retained the title). Their second meeting took place at UFC 263 on June 12, 2021, where Moreno captured the title by submission in the third round.



The main card will kick off at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Brandon Moreno Vs. Deiveson Figueiredo Full Fight

First Round: Both men close the distances early to maybe take some of that size away. Figueiredo with low calf kick, but doesn't land. Brandon with goes for a clinch against the fence, the crowd is loud, Figueiredo switches, he has over hook. But still not so much offense. They separate now, working in the middle. Figueiredo with a Jab, Brandon swings a left followed by a sneaky kick. Brandon trades a massive right hand, Figueiredo looks hurt now.



Brandon goes for a couple of jabs, but Figueiredo ducks and goes right after his back, both back to the middle, Brandon not landing a lot either, just some kicks, but no word who is in winning on activity.

Second Round: Brandon was very composed in that first round and started to take control near the end. That could be bad for Figueiredo who has never been a tactical genius. The second round starts off, Figueiredo catches Brandon's leg for a takedown but doesn't get it. Figueiredo is looking more fired up in the second round. Figueiredo is working really well at those calf kicks.

Brandon lands a calf kick of his own, Figueiredo swings a spinning back kick, but Brandon instead catches and gets him down. That was a beautiful scramble. Both are once again in the middle, Both are exchanging Low calf kicks. Two settle into a ranged fight, Figueiredo with a big right hand, that apparently hurts Brandon. This time Brandon comes in and connects with his own strikes. Both guys go high, but are unable to land, the round ends here.



Third Round: Perhaps more concerning is how tired they looked at the end of the second thought. We are live into the third round, Brandon tries a running knee, but Figueiredo instead catches and gets a takedown. Quick work for Brandon to get back on his feet. Figueiredo stuns Brandon with a massive right hand. Figueiredo just blows another left hand. He got the momentum. A nice Jab from Brandon, Brandon seemingly more attemptive, Figueiredo with a low calf kick as Brandon slips down. Brandon is back on his feet, Brandon swings with a big right followed by a rope of uppercuts.

Brandon is really impressive going into the end of the third. A heavy left hand from both men. Brandon with a kick followed by a Front kick from Figueiredo. Figueiredo follows up a nice right hand, Brandon goes on his knee, Figueiredo is looking to end the fight with a submission, but the round ends here.

4th Round: Round no. 4th is underway now, both guys are looking fine, A nice front kick to the body by Figueiredo. Brandon the time he tries to land something, but he slips. Figueiredo sends Moreno stumbling backwards, looks like he's off-balance though and as Figueiredo chases him, Moreno cracks him with a counter that backs him up.

They separate from the clinch. Both guys settle into the fight at the end. Opening up a bit. Lot of powerful low leg kicks by Deiveson. Moreno got the jab going a bit, low kicks as well.

5th Round: Figueiredo started stunting with a short time but neither man closed in the 4th round. Brandon with a nice Takedown going into the final round. Figueiredo could lose the round, apparently, the fight, if he doesn't get, but he is up quickly. He appears to be waiting for a big moment and he swings some hammers to drive him my point.



Figueiredo with a big left, but doesn't connect, Brandon is trying to find the distance. This time Figueiredo closes the distance trades with more offensive strikes, 1 M to go...no touches going into the end, Figueiredo hurts Brandon with a couple of big right hands, Brandon swings as well. It's a wild Exchange to close the fifth round. A very close fight.
