UFC 265 Results: Derrick Lewis Vs. Ciryl Gane Full Fight & Winner

An interim UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between former title challenger Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane takes place on August 7, 2021, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, United States.

1st Round: Derrick Lewis with a high kick, but slips down, Derrick Lewis is back to his feet. Gane backs him up with a right hand, Gane with a quick escape as Derrick Lewis tried to run after. Derrick Lewis with a kick to the body, but that hit right on the button.



Gane is ready to go, Derrick Lewis hooks him up and puts exact same offenses. Another Body kick there by Derrick Lewis. Gane with a big right Jab. Gane hits a lead job than glancing right over the top. They exchange punches and both complaint of an eye poke.

2nd Round: The second round comes up, Gane hits a long jab. While Leg kick by Lewis ends Gane's advance for a second. Gane is putting in a lot more energy. Gane breaks it up and muscles Lewis against the fence. Derrick Lewis is out from the clinch.

For the time being Gane is so ahead in the fight, Gane with another Clinch against the fence, Derrick Lewis breaks it up with a spot to the head. THe second round ends here.



3rd Round: After the 2nd round, Gane should be up on the card as he has put a more strike than Derrick Lewis. Gane with a massive Calf kick as Derrick Lewis shakes up. Gane is following the steps, Derrick Lewis lands a high kick.

Gane continues to circle in the third. Lewis unable to get much going so far. Derrick Lewis with a clinch against the fence, but Gane quickly gets out. Gane with another massive Left low kick. Looks like Derrick Lewis is down.

Gane presses forward with punches against the fence. Gane continues with Big shots as Lewis covers up. Lewis is out to counter back and responds with some punches. Gane hurts Lewis again and he's throwing Hammerfists as Lewis is on his hands and knees against the fence.



Lewis has plenty of time to recover, there's no response. Lewis is ready to go, but this time, Lewis is hurt and goes down against the fence. Gane gets the back and pummels him with elbows and punches to win the fight.

Winner: Ciryl Gane via TKO (punches) RD 3, 4:11
