UFC 256 Countdown brings 2020 to a close with flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo battling Mexico's Brandon Moreno on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

The UFC's final pay-per-view of 2020 marks a Bittersweet conclusion to a year to challenge this all. The early months showed great promise...before spring Lockdowns proved to be incapable, NHL regular season suspended NBA season suspended.

MLB spring training is over, but when all hope seemed lost...the UFC led the charge for his safe return. UFC 256 will conclude this long and winding saga with a stacked card back home in Las Vegas. Deiveson Figueiredo is felt on short notice against the UFC's first-ever Mexican-born title.

Deiveson Figueiredo is undefeated since he led the fight against Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 240. He won the fight via unanimous decision. This fight earned him the Fight of the Night award. Figueiredo faced Joseph Benavidez for the vacant UFC Flyweight Championship at UFC on ESPN+ 27 on February 29, 2020, Figueiredo won the fight via technical submission in the first round.

After a successful defense of his title at UFC 255, Figueiredo is expected to face Brandon Moreno at UFC 256. This event meant that it was the fastest championship turnaround, just 21 days from UFC 255 where Figueiredo defended his title against Alex Perez.

Moreno has been able to summit against his opponents, he faced promotional newcomer Askar Askarov on September 21, 2019, at UFC on ESPN+ 17. The back-and-forth bout ended in a draw. Moreno faced Kai Kara-France on December 14, 2019, at UFC 245. He won the fight by unanimous decision. Moreno faced Jussier Formiga on March 14, 2020, at UFC Fight Night 170. He won the fight via unanimous decision As the first bout of his new contract, Moreno was expected to face Alex Perez on November 21, 2020, at UFC 255.

However on October 2, it was announced that Cody Garbrandt, who was scheduled to fight Deiveson Figueiredo for the UFC Flyweight Championship at UFC 255, pulled out due to a torn bicep and was replaced by Perez. Moreno instead faced Brandon Royal. He won the fight via technical knockout in round one.

According to our prediction, Deiveson Figueiredo is gonna make one more victory as it becomes the last Pay-Per-View of 2020.
