Louisville, November 2, 2022 - WWE podcaster Jim Cornette discussed Sammy Guevara's heel run so far as well as blasting him for trying to outshine babyfaces in the company.
Since Sammy Guevara's debut back in 2019, he has stayed one of the staples of AEW TV. In fact, he got his popularity in AEW while dominating Cody Rhodes in AEW Dynamite's first-ever match. since then, he was still blasted for trying to outshine the babyfaces in the company.
The Spanish God Sammy Guevara worked alongside Chris Jericho as part of the Inner Circle in the beginning. After returning he was a babyface for a while, Guevara turned heel and came back to work with Jericho.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette opened up about Guevara's heel run so far and blasted him for trying to outshine babyfaces in the company.
As Jim Cornette mentioned:
"He's [Sammy Guevara] not working like a heel. He's still doing the big spring board into the jumping cutter off the top rope or the back moon salt into the asahara, fu*k*ng water slide or whatever the f*ck they call everything and and that doesn't get any heat on him, his face and his girl do that. But then he wants to outshine the baby face and still impress people that he's crazy and he'll risk his neck so they'll cheer what he does even though they're supposed to hate him."
