Stephanie McMahon is currently severing as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairwoman of WWE and that's with some reason behind it.
WWE officially announced Stephanie McMahon as the company's interim CEO, while John Laurinitis has been placed on administrative leave and Bruce Prichard has taken over his duties. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on recent events.
According to Meltzer, Stephanie McMahon being put in WWE power was said to be based on the decision of a Special Committee, 8 members of the Board that were not the McMahons, Nick Khan or Triple H.
It was Vince McMahon’s decision to leave but the board’s decision to put Stephanie in his place.
As noted, It has now been a week since it was announced Vince McMahon would be stepping down from his role as CEO of WWE while an investigation into an alleged $3 million cover up is conducted.
