On July 27 episode of NXT, which tapped on July 21, it was announced that Samoa Joe will challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22.
The report was confirmed by Dave Meltzer on Twitter, that Joe will return to the ring at NXT Takeover 36 to take on Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship.
As noted, A few weeks ago, NXT Champion Karrion Kross was intent on showing the NXT Universe who runs the show. In the wake of his hard-fought title defense against Johnny Gargano.
Kross attacked special guest referee Samoa Joe from behind and applied a Kross Jacket that left no doubt about his dominance.
