Santana Seemingly Injured During AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts Event

Views: 37 | Updated On: | By Jitu Jangir

It appears that Santana suffered some kind of knee/leg injury during a Blood & Guts match on AEW Dynamite.

The injury appears to have occurred while he was delivering Uranage to Daniel Garcia. As you can see below, his left leg got awkwardly twisted. Santana was checked out by doctors and eventually taken out of age and into the backstage area.

Hopefully, it's not a serious injury, but given that he could not reach backstage under his strength, it is not a good sign. We will pass an update on his injury as we hear more regarding the situation.

Santana’s team, which included Eddie Kingston, Claudio Castagnoli, Ortiz, and Wheeler Yuta, defeated the Jericho Appreciation Society after Castagnoli was given the win after submitting Matt Menard with the sharpshooter while Kingston had Jericho tapping out with the stretch plum.

Prior to tonight’s Blood & Guts match, Santana’s last match was at Double or Nothing, where he, Kingston, Ortiz, and the Blackpool Combat Club lost to the Jericho Appreciation Society in an Anarchy in the Arena match.
