Tonight on AEW Dynamite Soho will face Jade Cargill in the finals of the AEW TBS Title tournament. The winner goes on to crown as the new TBS champion.
Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Soho stated that TBS title is elevating AEW's division past the point AEW thought was possible at this point.
"I think we’re on our way. The amazing street fight that just took place on Rampage is one thing that everybody’s talking about right now and those women put on an incredible performance. I think the TBS title is elevating our division past the point we thought was possible at this point.
We are taking these strides every single week. It’s not just once in a while, it’s every week we are taking strides and making history and take steps toward building this division to be the best it possibly can," she said.
AEW has mostly stayed away from intergender wrestling and when asked if there's been a push in the company for more, she replied, "Not that I’ve seen. I’m mainly concerned about elevating the women’s division to its fullest. I spent quite a bit of time on the independents doing inter-gender wrestling."
