Views: 107 | Updated On: | By Jitu Jangir

Drew McIntyre is expected to return to WWE for Wrestlemania.

Drew McIntyre and Madcap Moss went to square off at WWE Day 1. The end saw Drew McIntyre defeating Madcap Moss (with Happy Corbin) by pinfall in a straight 9:45 seconds showdown.

During a backstage interview, Drew McIntyre was badly crushed down by Moss and Happy Corbin. As of the results, Drew suffered a cervical neck strain with severe contusions.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, later confirmed that This is not a worked injury and he has been dealing with legitimate neck issues. Currently, he is expected to miss the 2022 Royal Rumble.

In an update on McIntyre’s injury, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com has cited that He’s taking the John Cena approach of double sessions six days a week and is pretty insistent he’ll make it back for Wrestlemania.

It should be noted that McIntyre had the most matches of anyone on the WWE roster in 2021 with 100 total matches and 78 of those being wins.

Before injury occurred, he was working a tag title match against The Usos and a street fight against Sheamus on every show and he was also the Workhorse of WWE this year. This also makes him have more matches in 2021 than anyone.
