Exhibition boxing bouts between Floyd Mayweather and former UFC champion Anderson Silva scheduled to take place in Dubai on Saturday have been called off.
The fight will no longer be happening following the death of United Arab Emirates president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which was first reported by TMZ. Per the report, there is a three-day suspension of work due to the tragedy.
Though, the two boxers could attempt to reschedule the match for sometime next week.
Floyd has yet to comment on the fight's cancelation, though he did mourn Sheikh Khalifa's death in an Instagram post early Friday morning.
Mayweather and Moore have both been in Dubai the past few days promoting the fight ... with Moore saying he was legitimately gunning to beat the 50-0 boxing legend.
