Brett Okamoto is reporting that Paulo Costa Vs. Marvin Vettori is being finalized to headline a UFC Fight Night event on Oct. 23. Costa’s side wanted it. Vettori’s side wanted it.
This will officially be their first fight against each other. Now, it goes exciting that Both sides had been unable to win their last fight against Israel Adesanya.
Vettori and Israel Adesanya for the UFC Middleweight Championship took place on June 12, 2021, headlining UFC 263. Vettori lost the fight via unanimous decision.
While Paulo Costa also suffered a loss in his last fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. He lost the fight via technical knockout in the second round, making this his first professional loss.
Now, both are scheduled to meet on October 23, 2021, at UFC Fight Night 196.
