After establishing himself as the undisputed NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar was ready to take on anyone. Escobar had issued an open challenge for this Tuesday night on NXT.

During the show, Santos Escobar issued the open challenge which was quickly accepted by Kushida. The conclusion of the match saw Kushida pinning Santos Escobar after going back and forth.



Kushida now becomes the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion in his first reign.
