Nate Diaz: 'Khabib Nurmagomedov Is A Scared Fighter'

Views: 56 | Updated On: | By Jitu Jangir

Since making his promotional debut at UFC on FX 1, Khabib Nurmagomedov went undefeated in his Twenty-Nine fights inside the Octagon. Throughout his UFC career, He's dispatched UFC some of the high-profiled UFC stars including Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Rafael dos Anjos and many more, but he never got to fight with Nate Diaz.

However, back in 2014, Two were expected to face off at UFC 170 on 22 February 2014. However, the match-up was cancelled as Diaz turned the bout down. Nurmagomedov expressed his disappointment, appearing on The MMA Hour, "If they say that they're willing to fight the best, they should fight the best. If they want, I'll take them both at once in the cage."

Amid a contract standoff with the promotion, Diaz said he eventually agreed to fight the welterweight star. But he was none too happy about getting another opponent on the upswing as he tried to fight out his contract.

“The same reason [the UFC] wanted me to fight Khabib when he was brand-ass new,” Diaz said Tuesday on The MMA Hour, Khabib’s a f****** little b****, too, Who’d he beat for the title? He got Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje? They’ve both been finished over and over the same way that he beat them.

“You ain’t no good. You’re are a scared fighter, scared of fighting the whole time, and now you’re in the Hall of Fame with them? I was here before the Hall of Fame showed up, actually. Now you’re a Hall of Famer? I don’t even want nothing to do with the Hall of Fame - the Hall of Fame’s a joke, too – but...the Ultimate Fighter right here.”
