Miro Says Tony Khan Called Him With A Spot To Be The Best Man During His AEW Debut

Following his WWE release a few years ago, Miro made his AEW debut on the September 9, 2020 episode of Dynamite as Kip Sabian's Best Man. That gimmick certainly didn't do him any favors.

Speaking on the session with Renee Paquette, Miro revealed that it was Tony Khan's idea to introduce a new character. Miro agreed to be The Best Man with Khan.

“Tony Khan wanted, they called me with a spot to be The Best Man. I wanted to just be a new person. If this is what you want me to be, I can’t come and be Rusev, be like, ‘I’m gonna play video games and I’m gonna f*cking…,’ can’t do that. So I was like alright."

Miro is currently feuding with The House Of Black on AEW television. He also took an oath to go after the AEW World Title. We’ll have to see when that will be.
