Kenny Omega Vs. Rey Fenix For The AEW World Championship Set To Take Place On December 30, 2020

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is set to make his first title defense on the final show of 2020.

After defeating Joey Janela in the main event of tonight's AEW Dynamite, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega was informed of his next title match. With Don Callis rejoicing about Omega after his victory, Omega was confronted by his old friend PAC and his Death Triangle partners The Lucha Bros.



PAC let Omega know the two of them had some business to be settled down, but he was here for other reasons. Omega defeated Penta El Zero M in the semi-finals, but he was supposed to face Rey Fenix, who won his first-round match against Penta.

Unfortunately, Fenix suffered an injury in the match and Penta took his place against Omega. Later on Tonight, Tony Khan agreed, making the AEW World Title match between Omega and Fenix official for AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash Night One on December 30.
