Jake Paul has announced that Hasim Rahman Jr. will replace Tommy Fury in Aug. 6 fight!
Jake Paul was originally scheduled to box Fury, but he had to withdraw from the fight due to some visa issues that prevented him and his team from traveling to the U.S.
On Wednesday, Fury issued a statement in which he vowed that the matter would be resolved and that he was "ready to fight Paul in a neutral country where both sides can enter." Paul responded by tweeting that he was prepared to offer Fury $500,000 to fight him in the UK after 6 August, but Fury laughed off the offer, asking Paul to reach out again when he "saw a Be ready to have a serious conversation."
Following Paul's claim that Fury was "hidden" ahead of the August 6 boxing bout at New York's Madison Square Garden, "The Problem Child" announced on Thursday that he would now take on Hasim Rahman Jr. on that date.
Paul and Fury were initially set to fight in December 2021, but Fury withdrew due to a combination of illness and injury.
