AEW has been battling the injury bug of late.
In addition to numerous top stars that had already been reported as being sidelined, there are a couple more out of action.
Lee Johnson hasn't wrestled since early May, and likely won't for the remainder of the summer. It was confirmed to Fightful on Monday that Johnson has been battling a knee injury, and will be out of action for the next few months at least.
Matt Hardy also was banged up after his AAA TripleMania match. Per Fightful he had some major swelling on this knee, but haven't heard if there's any update or about the severity.
In addition, Fightful reported a couple of weeks back that Bryan Danielson was out of action due to injury. Wrestling Observer reported wasn't medically cleared as of last week, and there is no definitive stance on him ahead of his segment this week on AEW Dynamite.
In an update on Darius Martin, an AEW source told Fightful "hopefully" they could get him back by the end of 2022, but that's hardly a guarantee.
