This Monday Morning Jake Paul took to Twitter to announce that Tommy Fury has pulled out of the fight due to a “medical condition". Thus, replacing him will be Tyron Woodley for December 18th for the official rematch.

Per a statement released by his team; Tommy Fury suffered a broken rib and is dealing with a chest infection.

Tommy Fury said: "I am absolutely heartbroken that I have been forced to withdraw from my fight with Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and broken rib. The beginning of my camp was going so incredibly and I never expected anything to come in my way from a victory on December 18th. I can't express how disappointed I am and I really do hope we can get this fight rescheduled in the new year, I want this fight to still happen more than anything. I'm now regretfully putting my focus on recovery and a further reschedule date."

The boxing match now between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley takes place on December 18, 2021, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Jake Paul last faced Woodley on August 29, 2021. Prior to the bout, Paul had compiled a record of 3–0 (3 KOs) as a professional boxer, and was coming off a first-round technical knockout victory on April 17, 2021 against former mixed martial artist Ben Askren.

Paul won the fight by split decision. One judge scored the fight 77–75 for Woodley, while the other two judges scored it 77–75 and 78–74 in favor of Paul.
