On the 13th of April, Eddie Kingston made a revelation during an episode of ROH TV, divulging that he had been grappling with a hernia since September, and that he was likely to require surgery.
Subsequently, at the recent ROH TV tapings on May 7, Kingston made a noteworthy appearance, addressing the audience in attendance. According to accounts from fans present, Kingston declared that he would be undergoing hernia surgery on May 9, and that he estimated his recovery time to be around six weeks.
Regrettably, Kingston's last wrestling match was at ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31, where he was unsuccessful in his attempt to seize the ROH World Championship from Claudio Castagnoli. Moreover, he was slated to compete at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia, but he was withdrawn from the card due to an undisclosed injury.
It is worth mentioning that Kingston is currently signed to both AEW and ROH; he announced his "resignation" from AEW after the March 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, after which he transitioned to ROH.
