Kevin Owens will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the 20223 Royal Rumble PPV. The challenge was laid down during the January 6th 2023 edition of SmackDown, when The Bloodline kicked off the show with a promo.
Reigns were too up there and flared up over Sami Zayn’s loss from the previous week but then Kevin Owens interrupted the segment. Owens challenged Reigns to a title match at the Royal Rumble. Reigns just wants Owens to leave. Owens agreed to go.
As he walked away, he told Zayn that he'd see him when he digs his balls out of Roman's pocket. It has now been made official, Kevin Owens will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble 2023.
The early betting odds are out for the match and lists Reigns as the -2000 favorite to retain the match, while Owens is the +700 underdog, according to Betonline.com.
