Drew McIntyre Vs. Goldberg is official for the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble 2021.

The announcement came right after the news of Drew McIntyre testing positive for COVID-19, but Drew McIntyre assured that he is lucky enough to found no symptoms and will be soon. On January 11, 2021, episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre officially accepted Goldberg's challenge.



As noted, last week on Raw, WWE Hall of Famer laid down the challenge to the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as he made his return to WWE Raw. Last week's main event saw a WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee, which was won by Drew McIntyre eventually. After the match, Drew McIntyre took the mic, but he was stopped by the music of returning Goldberg.

Goldberg got into the ring with a face-off, Goldberg went on to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 which was accepted by Drew McIntyre. "Fighting you would be like fighting my own DAD!," Drew McIntyre responded to the challenge.
