UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno have officially literally agreed to fight at UFC 256 on Dec. 12 as it was confirmed by Dana White during UFC 255: Post-fight Press Conference.
Fresh off Deiveson Figueiredo's first title defense against Alex Perez at UFC 255, now he is set to make a quick route at UFC 256 in his second title defense against Brandon Moreno.
As the first bout of his new contract, Moreno was expected to face Alex Perez on November 21, 2020 at UFC 255. However on October 2, it was announced that Cody Garbrandt, who was scheduled to fight Deiveson Figueiredo for the UFC Flyweight Championship at UFC 255, pulled out due to a torn bicep and was replaced by Perez.
Moreno faced Brandon Royval, He won the fight via technical knockout on round one. After winning the fight Brandon Moreno demanded a title shot which was later called-in by Deiveson Figueiredo.
UFC 256 is scheduled to take place on December 12, 2020, at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The flyweight title fight will join the previously-booked bantamweight title fight between champ Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling.
