Ben Askren Issues Statement On His Loss To Jake Paul

Atlanta, April 18, 2021, The main event of Saturday's fight saw Jake Paul knocks down Ben Askren at the 1:59 mark of the first round, live from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

During the fight, Jake Paul caught a jab and then blistered Askren with a right hand that sent the retired MMA fighter face-first to the canvas. Then Ben immediately gets back up but the referee called a stop.

Askren left the ring immediately, upset with the early stoppage. After the fight, Ben Askren took to his Twitter and issued a very short, but indeed emotional statement. "Sorry world :(." Ben Askren wrote.

Paul is now 3-0 with three knockouts. Jake Paul Paul won his first professional boxing fight against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib via TKO at 2:18 in the first round. Then he scored another KO to Robinson at 1:24 in the second round.
