Adam Page Criticized For Going Away From The Script During His Feud With CM Punk Prior To Double Or Nothing

Adam Page was unable to raise the AEW World Championship title against CM Punk in Double or Nothing. Back then, fans felt that Adam Page lacked direction. He was criticized by fans because he went off script during his feud with CM Punk.

As seen on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk began the show with a promo addressing Adam Page and issuing a rematch to the Cowboys. However, he was quite gracious in the promo and termed the whole thing as 'low key'.

Punk essentially buried Adam Page, and since then, there has been a lot of turmoil backstage, with talent favoring both Punk and Page. Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Jim Cornett criticized Page for going away from the script during his feud with CM Punk prior to Double Or Nothing.

“When Page apparently went to business for himself with his inexplicable rambling that he wasn’t talented enough to pull off, that was before the main event of a pay-per-view. That was one of the bigger houses and overall revenue producing nights in AEW history and this f*king jackoff is out there trying to make up his own st. Not only is Adam Page a lyrical wordsmith, he can barely f*king read the cue cards.

He didn’t need to try to be jousting with CM Punk anyway. That’s why Punk looked so confused because they had to have a plan when they went out there. But when old hangnail bows up and starts doing a bunch of s*t, how was Punk going to be unprofessional and say ‘you just said a bunch of shit that you’re not supposed to say. I don’t know what to say back to you because you’re a f*king idiot.”
