AEW Double or Nothing May 30, 2021, didn’t have the killer main event But it ended up as the second most successful PPV show in company history, trailing only Revolution earlier this year.
According to Dave Meltzer of
F4WOnline.com, AEW Double or Nothing becomes the second most-purchased PPV event in AEW history following the Revolution PPV from earlier this year and it also beat the 120,000 buys” of last year’s event.
AEW Double or Nothing was able to draw around 5,200 a 300 shy of a sellout with 4,700 tickets sold and a $300,000 gate.
Meltzer noted that Double or Nothing on 5/30 turned out to be the exception, because most saw it as a deep card, but it didn’t have the killer main event that other shows had.
