With only ten seconds left, Vera comes alive and both fighters trade blows until the final bell.

The two are exchanging blows, but Sandhagen still has the upper hand. Vera easily dodges a takedown attempt. Vera desperately needs to mount an offensive. Sandhagen is jabbing relentlessly and circling to avoid any potential retaliation from Vera.

Vera does manage to block a flying knee attempt, but it's clear that Sandhagen has once again had another solid round.

Sandhagen continues his assault with a heavy one-two that connects followed by a sweet body shot. It's clear that Sandhagen is feeling confident and in control. Although a big flurry misses for Sandhagen, he quickly changes levels and takes Vera down to the mat. Vera attempts a guillotine, but Sandhagen is able to advance into half guard and unleash a rapid-fire of short shots from the top.

    Sensing an opportunity, Sandhagen closed the distance and took Vera down, quickly transitioning to top position and unleashing a barrage of punches and elbows. Vera did his best to defend himself, but Sandhagen's strikes found their mark and he appeared to have suffered a cut on his brow, with blood spilling everywhere. Despite Vera's typical slow start, Sandhagen was able to take control of the round with his impressive performance.

    FIRST ROUND: Sandhagen wasted no time getting to work in the opening round, unleashing a flurry of strikes while Vera patiently circled on the outside. Although Vera was able to block a high kick from Sandhagen, he was unable to avoid several left hooks that landed flush. Sandhagen continued to attack with low kicks, but missed with a jumping knee that Vera seemed to enjoy.

    Despite Santos' attempts to shrimp out, Holm remained in control and transitioned back to side control, unleashing a series of punches. Santos tried to stand up but Holm remained glued to her, pressing her against the cage. With just 45 seconds remaining, Holm changed levels and executed a takedown, settling into side control once again. It was a dominating performance by Holm, who had cleanly swept all three rounds.

    THIRD ROUND: The third round began with an immediate clinch in the center of the cage. Holm briefly pushed Santos towards the fence before releasing her grip. However, Santos closed the distance and was quickly taken down by Holm. In no time, Holm found herself back in the mount position, just as she had been at the end of the second round.

    Despite her efforts, Holm was unable to secure the submission and instead found herself on the receiving end of a couple of short elbows from Santos on the bottom. Santos attempted to escape by shrimping out, but Holm's pressure was too much to overcome. Eventually, Holm was able to trap Santos' right arm and from there, she unleashed a barrage of punches from the crucifix position. Although Santos was able to break free, Holm quickly advanced into mount and launched a series of rapid-fire strikes. It was a perilous situation for Santos to be in.

    SECOND ROUND: The fight resumed with both fighters immediately engaging in a clinch. Santos was able to fend off Holm's attempt to take her down. However, Holm landed a massive front kick to the body, causing Santos to stumble and briefly hit the floor. Santos quickly recovered and charged back in, but was taken down again by Holm. Holm transitioned to half-guard and then to side control, where she began working on Santos' right arm.

    Holm responded by initiating the clinch herself and maneuvering Santos to the fence. After disengaging, they resumed the fight in the center of the octagon. Santos then rushed back in for another clinch, once again pushing Holm against the fence. However, Holm displayed her skills by delivering a powerful elbow upon separating from the clinch. She followed up with a few front kicks and capitalized on Santos' stumble to take her down to the ground. Holm swiftly transitioned into side control, putting her in a dominant position.

On Saturday, March 25th, UFC FIGHT NIGHT: VERA vs SANDHAGEN will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. This event marks FC's return to San Antonio after almost four years, and will feature two thrilling 135-pound matchups.

The co-main event will see former women's bantamweight champion and current No. 3 ranked fighter, Holly Holm, take on No. 6 ranked Yana Santos. The main event will feature No. 4 ranked bantamweight contender Marlon Vera, who is on a four-fight win streak, against the exciting finisher and No. 5 ranked Cory Sandhagen.

The main card of the event will be available on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, as well as simulcast in both English and Spanish on ESPN+, beginning at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT. Prior to this, the prelims will exclusively stream on ESPN+ at 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT before also being broadcast on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 4:30 pm ET / 1:30 pm PT.
